Shine Your Light – Share!

image

Have you ever kept something inside so beautiful and awesome – you feel the bubbling of pure joy within your heart. What do you do? Do you keep it to yourself or do you share it amongst others – that they may also get the surge of greatness within their spirits as well. Too often our life and walk with God is reduced to only what he has done for us than what we can do for him. We know God – we see him in our lives. We get excited when we call his name. Truthfully everything God does in our lives isn’t meant for our pure enjoyment it is meant for his glory. He wants us to get excited about helping others. We are kingdom builders and kingdom builders go out into the battle field to rescue others.  Often people look at Christians as people who fell from heaven. Are we portraying ourselves that way? Yes God has done some amazing things and that is worthy of sharing. Remember that someone else may be where you have been and they need to see and hear how you made it through. Your battle scars are there so that people won’t just hear about God, but that they will see him in and through you. All of us want to get to station C – we don’t get there by bypassing station B or without beginning at A. In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35

we are reminded that we are the light of the world and we don’t go hide or put it out but it is put on display to light the way for somebody else. Do you have that friend, family member, kids who need to see the joy that resonates within you. They too need to know where that joy comes from. They too need a bubbly joy bath. You really should go tell it on the mountain.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:13-16

So today, tomorrow, this week let your light shine brightly. Give somebody the gift of joy – point them toward God. Let them unwrap the gift of life –  that they have been seeking way too long.  Your restoration, renewed life – living testimony may just be the thing that turns around another. It just may be the domino that needs to fall that causes all the others to fall in line. Don’t take this position for granted or minimize it’s importance. Your in God’s army – light the torch and light the way.

Be Blessed!
